Friendliness but too shy

Simple stall beside the wet market

I always love to explore and have meal in small town or village. People living there almost everyone is very friendly, greet you with smile from heart. Undoubtedly, I had fall in love to go there and enjoy my tranquility hour for meal.

Stall owners (old couples - since don't know their names, I called them uncle and aunty) refuse to publish their names and contacts, thus I dare not push them hard on this. It's all about willingness. I choose to publish their stall because it's not merely the delicious food but the sincerity of preparing it.

Sambal that makes you sweat definitely

Fried Rice rocks with Sambal!
Fried Rice with Sambal to rock you

It was a surprise to be able to taste such a good sambal. According to aunty, the sambal is prepared using traditional way. This needs 90 minutes to prepare. Belachan smell is strong which is a must ingredient to make sambal. I always ask for extra in despite my over-active sweat system and its spicyness.

Space-craft beside you - I'm kidding! It's from Kopi-Bean stall, seriously!
Another space craft from Kopi-Bean stall

Indeed Wet Market
Well, if you are the super-hygience type person who cannot eat hawker food, I advise not to try here :-P Why? Have you ever tried out eating inside the wet market just washed with water pipe beside you? Oh, this is the environment I don't care if the food is suiting my preference :-) Not to mention about if have to squat, I will GO FOR IT :-) Think about this twice :-)

If you come from town, take Kelawi Road and go to the Gurney Plaza direction. The stall is located exactly beside the T-junction in between Kelawi Road and Jones Road. It is beside the residential building in yellow colour. If you see a group of people sitting under the big umbrella, there it is.

The Place

Too Busy
Didn't have much time to talk to the employees of this stall. Too crowded and they are too busy to clear tables and serve customers. The boss was not there, only come at specific hours. Every employee call "Baa" to his boss - just like father. I haven't had a chance to meet this stall owner. Owner only will drop by stall during 0700-0900 and 1400-1530. The moment I visited the stall, he was not there as well.

Self Service - don't expect someone to serve you to pick up the snacks. Have yourself served :-)

Perfect Place for Tea Time

Happy customer to enjoy tea time
Happy Customer

In despite of the long hour opening, if you were to ask me the best tea time location, I would say this personally, thus very subjective. I love the local stall, local Malay kuih and just a cup of thick coffee. Perfect enjoyment for a short period of tea break.

This is my tea time. I said this is indulgence!
