Any one who works in FTZ area will know Batu Maung area, especially near the primary school, there are many shops offering lunch.

From Hilir Sg Kluang Satu, turn to Lintang Bayan Lepas 3, go all the way straight until almost reach Pentamaster on your left, turn right into Lintang Bayan Lepas 6. Go straight until T-junction. Turn left and follow the road (you will cross very small bridge) till you meet another T-junction in front of you (Jalan Baru Batu Maung). Turn left and drive straight until you see a primary school on your left. The stall is beside the road of Tingkat Batu Maung.

Friendliness but too shy

Simple stall beside the wet market

I always love to explore and have meal in small town or village. People living there almost everyone is very friendly, greet you with smile from heart. Undoubtedly, I had fall in love to go there and enjoy my tranquility hour for meal.

Old Couples
Old couples (they are very shy)

Aunty stopped me from taking photo - psss... don't tell her!

Stall owners (old couples - since don't know their names, I called them uncle and aunty) refuse to publish their names and contacts, thus I dare not push them hard on this. It's all about willingness. I choose to publish their stall because it's not merely the delicious food but the sincerity of preparing it.

Sambal that makes you sweat definitely

Fried Rice rocks with Sambal!
Fried Rice with Sambal to rock you

It was a surprise to be able to taste such a good sambal. According to aunty, the sambal is prepared using traditional way. This needs 90 minutes to prepare. Belachan smell is strong which is a must ingredient to make sambal. I always ask for extra in despite my over-active sweat system and its spicyness.

Space-craft beside you - I'm kidding! It's from Kopi-Bean stall, seriously!

Indeed Wet Market
Well, if you are the super-hygience type person who cannot eat hawker food, I advise not to try here :-P Why? Have you ever tried out eating inside the wet market just washed with water pipe beside you? Oh, this is the environment I don't care if the food is suiting my preference :-) Not to mention about if have to squat, I will GO FOR IT :-) Think about this twice :-)

  2. Oh Allie - I probably know which hokkien mee you are talking about. But my preference hokkien mee is not the one you probably love :-P LOL!~ Let's see whether our taste are similar :-)

I will hunt that stall right after my wife delivers. Pretty tight up over here, thus everything slows down :-) Stay tune!

  3. I tried the Char Koay Teow before..just OK. But haven't try the Nasi Goreng before. What I would say, Batu Maung's hawker foods are cheaper than other places..! CN, perhaps you can ping me if I am free to accompany you for the food hunting :)
